Fraktale kann man als die optische Umsetzung mathematischer Formeln beschreiben. Das wohl berühmteste Beispiel ist das Mandelbrot-Fraktal, das nach seinem Schöpfer benannt wurde.
Es gibt einige Programme, mit denen man auf leicht unterschiedliche Weise 2D- und 3D-Fraktale erstellen kann. Bekannt sind z. B. Apophysis, Mandelbulb 3D, Ultra Fractal und einige mehr.
Ich selbst arbeite mit JWildfire, das ähnlich funktioniert wie Apo.
